Internships
Members

Main goals
- To develop a common approach in handling internships
- Promote homogeneous training routes between different universities through common procedures related to internship activities
- To create a unique procedure for application (deadlines and forms) and selection of candidates by the universities.
Activities 2010-2011
- The Task Force plans an official meeting in Hull before the summer 2010.
Suggested program for the upcoming meeting in Hull:
- Details of agreements and conventions
- Contacts with major international companies
- Key areas
- Accommodation and site issues
- Each member should review and report the financial situation with their National Agencies
- The need for fact sheets per member institutions, the students and the company placement and the clearing house
- Language problems/assistance
- Defining the level of the student for the internship
- Payment?
- Credit issues
- Fact sheets from the companies should be as exhaustive as possible

Main goals
- Liaison between the EC LLP Structural Network project JOIMAN and the Utrecht Network
- Revision of the JOIMAN results and dissemination among the UN institutions
- Promotion of the Final International Seminar to be organized in Vilnius in October 2010
- Evaluation of the JOIMAN experience and of the added value for participants and for UN members
- Sustainability: the development of JOIMAN II
Activities 2010-2011
All actions are scheduled in the timeline of the JOIMAN project.
The Task Force will function as a liaison between JOIMAN and the Utrecht Network. JOIMAN has its own management structure.
- Back up activities:
- Mailing to UN members to promote the results
- Mailing to networks to promote the final seminar in Vilnius
- Evaluation exercise - Other activities to be verified:
- Translation of executive summery of more relevant JOIMAN documents, to be used by UN institutions. This activity could be the way to exploit the results of the JOIMAN project and to transfer those outcomes to all UN members

Main goals
- Promotion of the Utrecht Network within the member universities. It will provide materials and services to better promote the network for university staff and students.
Activities 2010-2011
- questionnaire: will give a detailed picture of what all members expect of and contribute to the UN as a network.
- define target groups: based on the outcomes of the questionnaire
- marketing/promotion plan: based on the questionnaire and the definition of target groups
- research on other networks: analysis from other networks and their profile
- materials: check of material that can be reused and that can be created (the website, the database, posters, fact sheet etc).
