Incluusion - Refugee Staff week

From 12-15 June 2018 Incluusion hosted the first edition of the Utrecht Network Refugee Staff Week in Utrecht. The training has been organized in the framework of the Utrecht Network Staff Training weeks, aimed at strengthening and sharing experiences and good practices among member institutions.

Full Group Workshop Malta

In May 2018, the Research Management Task Force welcomed 24 delegates from 15 different universities from across the Utrecht Network to their fourth annual workshop.
This year the event was hosted by the University of Malta in their beautiful buildings in the heart of Valletta.

The Task Force Internationalisation of Curricula has been at work, sorting through the multitude of information available on the topic of Internationalisation of the curriculum. This desk research has led to a knowledge base that is now available to all members of the Utrecht Network.

From 12th to 15th June 2018, Utrecht University, in the Netherlands, will be hosting a Staff Training Week on “Optimizing support for refugees in higher education”.

Summer School challenges-for-the-xxi-century_-data-information-and-communication

The University of Valencia will be hosting its 1st summer school “Challenges for the XXI century: data, information and communication” from 26th June to 5th July 2018.

Hidden Libraries II

The theme of Hidden Libraries II Summer School will present different elements of a hidden library with particular focus on manuscript fragments, creating awareness in order to better preserve this kind of European heritage.

WeTell Summer School focuses on the art and practice of performative storytelling to promote civic awareness among European and International students living in a hyper-technological but unequal environment.

On 1 January 2018 the Utrecht Network Executive Secretariat moved to the University of Bologna. Silvia Mastrapasqua from the University of Bologna will be undertaking the role.

With its strategic aim to respond actively to European HE policies in mind, the Utrecht Network has published a position paper on the Erasmus+ programme.

The Utrecht Network is celebrating its 30th Anniversary during 2017. To mark the occasion a Rectors meeting was held on Wednesday 26 April 2017 with the theme of ‘Global citizenship and employability in an interconnected world’.

The Utrecht Network has furthered its ambitions to develop links with South American Higher Education Networks by signing a memorandum of understanding with the REARI-RJ Network.

The Utrecht Network is a partner on the ‘Internationalisation and Modernisation Programme for Academics, Leaders and Administrators (IMPALA)’ project.
